I am applying to Tulane for the Fall 2013 semester and have a question about the application involving my ACT score. I am taking the ACT come September and was wondering if I should wait until I take it then to send in my ACT score? Currently, I have a 25 but know I can do better. The last time I took it my math score dropped a lot and I feel that I might have just gotten a bad math section and considering this has been nearly 3 years ago I feel that I ought to be able to make a fairly strong improvement on my score. Also, I'm close to being eligible for PTK at my community college and wondered how that might affect my application if I submit it before I get into PTK, assuming I get in at a later date. I have fairly strong EC's and have been very involved in the Baptist Student Union on our campus. If I can bump my ACT score up to at least a 27 and get into PTK, do I have a decent chance of getting into Tulane?

No clue what PTK even is, but Tulane’s gotten incredibly competitive in the past couple years… A 27 won’t cut it, you’ll need at least a 30. Maybe it matters a lot less for transfer students, though? (I’m assuming you’re a transfer student?)
