Should Bowden be forced to retire?

Listen, we all know Bobby Bowden is the face of FSU but after tonight's loss to UF, I say enough is enough! Bowden does absolutely nothing during the game! His assistants simply run everything for them and he sits there as a figure head. Bobby is just staying around so he can try and keep his "All Time Winningest Coach" title intact. If Bowden truly loves FSU like he claims then he will step aside and spare them from more embarrassment. Tonight was the most frustrating loss and most painful in a long time. It's flat out just time for someone to do something!

i know nothing about sports, but ouch.

It may hurt but it's true. He has been there for 32 years and since the 2000 season, they have steadily gone down hill. There are even quotes from players saying how they see Bowden go on and off the sidelines during the game and that they rarely ever have contact with him during the games. They claim that his assistants and position coaches do everything and call all the plays. I just don't understand why they keep a coach around who can't manage to do anything with the degree of talent FSU brings in!

It's not all his fault, but a lot of it is.

Florida was just extremely good and they painfully illustrated how far the 'Noles have fallen since 2000. Nonetheless, I believe it has started to turn around and some some good recruiting will result in better performance.

The players recruited and, more importantly trained under Jeff Bowden simply need to graduate so their slots may be filled with better players.

Why Bobby tolerated Jeff is another story. Fortunately it is now history.

We have better coaches now, but they need to have their players on the team.

what? bobby will live forever! And die coaching, although we all know bobby is more of a figurehead now a days he provides a dominate name and gets the school more publicity...so your talking crazy...although that loss last night was unbearable.

We have room for loads of recruits who could contribute right away.

Never such a loss again!
