I'm a senior in HS but am finishing early by taking classes at my local community college. In the spring semester, I took a class that is not transferable. Over the summer, I took a psychology class that is transferable, but I got a D, so it won't transfer.
Now, I am currently taking 4 classes in the fall semester. I'm taking English Composition I, Pre-Algebra, Intro to Sociology, and Yoga. The English and Sociology class will transfer. I am going to keep taking classes in the spring semester, even though I will be done high school.
Today I found out that I may be able to apply as a transfer student for a university. I want to apply to Temple University(you need 15 transferable credits to transfer) East Stroudsburg University(number of credits do not matter), Kutztown University(12 credits), and Penn State Berks(18 credits).
By the end of the fall semester, I should only have 6 transferable credits(the english and sociology class). But I am gonna take 4 more classes in the spring that are transferable, so I should have 18 transferable credits.
So should I apply as a transfer student? Or will it be better if I just applied as a freshman?
I will call each university to find out more info. I just want your opinions.

Do you need FA? Many schools will not offer FA (or merit aid) to transfers. You’ll have to check with them on that.

Most of the time if you have not taken college courses AFTER high school graduation, you may not apply as a transfer student–no questions asked.
