Should I apply for early admission despite a low act score?

I’m a senior in high school and the Ohio state university is one of my top schools. I received a 24 composite on my last ACT. The average range of ACT scores for accepted freshmen is from 27-29. I’m taking the ACT again on October 25th but I won’t get those results back for early admission. (Nov. 1). What are my chances of getting in if I apply early with the lower score? Should I wait and see if I get high enough for regular admission? HELP

Personally, I would go ahead and apply early. If you don’t get accepted early, you can still apply for regular admission. I see no disadvantage to applying early, other than being disappointed if you don’t get in. Even that can be a good thing, because you will have plenty of time to explore other alternatives.

I thought you couldn’t apply for regular admission if you don’t get accepted for early action, am I wrong?
