Should i apply to LSA or COE??

I believe both CS-LSA and CS-Eng students have very similar employment prospects (both good!)

That being said, to land an internship/job at a popular tech company like Google/Apple/etc., you really have to stand out and/or have an impressive resume. During on-campus career fairs, these types of companies have the longest lines.

I received an email earlier today from the EECS dept. regarding job openings at Google. In case your interested in asking any questions:

“If you have questions about full-time opportunities, please feel free to contact us at <a href="mailto:michstudents@google.com”>michstudents@google.com or Hal Marz (halm@google.com)"

Good luck with your decision!

FWIW, 4,000 years ago at another school (ASU), I transferred from Computer Science in the Engineering School to Computer Science in the Liberal Arts School. The Comp. Sci classes were very similar but I liked the more well-rounded education of the Liberal Arts college (where I received a Physics minor). In terms of employment, employers did not distinguish between the two Comp. Sci degrees and I have never regretted getting the LA degree.
