Should I apply to Questbridge? Worried that my Common App essay won't be seen.

Hi!

I come from a low income family, and I’ve had a rough past. I feel my story needs to be told, but at the same time… I have a huge passion for fashion. I decided to write my CommonApp essay on fashion.

I am wondering, will admission officers see both my Questbridge and Common App essays? I feel both fashion and my hardships need to be told.

I’m mainly worried that my hardships will be looked at more than fashion, when fashion has changed me significantly.

For the quest bridge national college match, there are two essays you submit which are created by quest bridge 1. " We are interested in learning more about you and the context in which you have grown up, formed your aspirations, and accomplished your academic successes. Please describe the factors and challenges that have most shaped your personal life and aspirations. How have these factors helped you to grow?" And the second one which allows you to pick a topic from 3 given prompts. You could write about the hardships you’ve gone through and how fashion has helped. I suggest you open an application and look through it to see if the quest bridge program is for you. Also you might want to look at the partner colleges I’m not sure if any of them offer fashion. You might just want to focus on applying to other schools known for fashion and put in your full effort in those apps to receive the financial aid you need

I’m guessing you are also on Redddit because you sound familiar
