Should I apply to the MSB or the College...?

So, I was working on my MSB essay and I don't really like how it is going. I think it is okay, but I think I could write a really good essay for the College.

When I first started looking at schools a few years ago, and GU kept popping up, I thought I was just going to apply to the College or SFS.

Then I was interested in business and MSB seemed like a logical choice.

But now I'm not sure (yeah, I know great time to be second guessing lol).

The thing is, I think I would be happy attending either SFS, the College, or MSB. SFS seems really cool and would be awesome, but I'm not sure. If I get into the MSB, I would major in Finance, but part of me thinks if I get into a school like GU, I should focus more on the liberal arts and go back to grad school for my MBA. Which brings me back to the College...

If I get into the College, I would major in Econ, and maybe try to double that with Government or Political Economy. Not sure, but at least Econ.

So, I feel like I would like all three of the above schools at GU, and I feel that I will have the best chances at the College because I feel like I can write a better essay for the College. I have a couple ECs that are business related, but not that many and one I'm not really active in.

Now a quick rundown on my stats, they are solid, but it is safe to say GU is a reach for me.
GPA: 3.8/4.2W
SAT: 1390 SAT I (SAT II: 790 USH, 600 Lit and taking Math 2 this month and retaking Lit)
ECs: Eagle Scout, Class Rep, 1/2 jobs throughout high school, a lot of volunteering, MDA Camp Counselor, grant research/writing at a local non-profit, and a few other things.

What do you think? Originally I picked the College, then SFS, then MSB. Now, I've come circle back to the College lol

Thanks

…any feedback? I’m working on drafts for both prompts, but I’m still leaning towards the College for now.

I guess I answered my own question, lol

College is the broadest choice availible, and you really can’t go wrong with it. Any of the other schools have much, much heavier core requirements than the College, so I would say just go with that. And your Stats really put GU as a low reach, the SATII’s which G-town seems to emphasize quite a bit, should, provided you can rescue lit and do well on Math II, help you get in. Just be true to yourself and you’ll do really well.

MSB will be easier to get in, but I agree with bpsbgs, the college will give you a much broader choice in terms of majors, minors, and when applying to grad schools later on.

Speaking with a bit of a bias, MSB acceptance will be a bit lower this year maybe 15-17% as applications are up to 3000 from 2500 last year and there are no plans for expanding number of students admitted. Go with the College though, you can always double in the college and minor in Business, but you can’t major in the business school and double major outside the business school.

I’m doing a double in the Business school (which is quite common, almost everyone) and a minor or double minor in the college, but I was sure of what I wanted. In your case, the reverse would probably be best.
