I go to a Catholic high school: no GSA, no gay pride events, and there’s no way to even start that (my friends and I tried to start a GSA and were threatened with expulsion if we tried again). I have a ton of volunteer experience and activities, but no specifically LGBT activities. Not only that, but my parents have never really let me be a part of pride events. They’re supportive but to a certain extent, you know? I’m a very proud and out bisexual and non-binary person, but my high school and parents have limited me. I really would love to get this scholarship but don’t know what to do.
