Should I Apply?

So I know that it's pretty late in the application game, but I recently stumbled upon University of Michigan, and it sparked my interest. I figure that those who visit this particular forum would know about the school than I myself do.
Should I bother applying to UMich in addition to the other universities that I'm applying to?
Major wise, I'm probably interested in something in engineering, political science, business, or pre-law.
Stats wise: ACT: C-31, E-30, S-34, M-28 R-36 (W-28)
SAT: 1970 (R-700, M-620, W-650)
SAT II: U.S. History-670, Literature-660, World History-580(taken as a Sophomore)

I've taken 5 APs, and my GPA is a 90+

If anyone has any insight on whether the University of Michigan would be a good fit for me, or me a good fit for UMitch, please share!

If you want to go to Michigan, then you should apply.

You won’t know if Michigan is a good fit for you until it’s too late (meaning you go there or you don’t).

Well you seem like a match and it’s the best school in the entire world sooooo… ;)

Would the fact that I’m out of state (I live in New York) make any difference on whether I get accepted or not?

Yea, out of state students have a tougher time when it comes to admission standards. That said, your stats look competitive enough to warrant an application. Good luck!

@TeenageDreamer, Michigan has very high rankings in each of the fields you listed there. Academic width, Michigan is really strong. You should apply if you are interested.
