Should I Apply?

So I have been looking on Naviance these past few days and have realized that few kids from my school apply to Princeton. A lot of our students get into Harvard, which is the more popular Ivy as it's easier to get into than others (for us). However, I feel that I should apply to other reaches as well (but can't decide which!). Out of all the scattergrams on Naviance for Ivies, Princeton and UPenn have the fewest applicants (around 9), whereas 80 for Harvard (practically a fourth of our class). Because of this I feel applying to Princeton would be a strong strategic move as there will be fewer applicants to compete with. However, Princeton is quite far, although my cousin is currently a sophomore there, and I feel that if I got into Harvard or Brown, let's say Brown (hopefully), I'd choose Brown over it (Brown has a much lower acceptance rate at my school compared to the one for Princeton, and 40 applicants). Okay that was confusing, but should I apply just because out of all the Ivies this one makes the most sense strategically, or should I just apply to school's I'd go to no matter what.

^ uh… no matter how high the acceptance rates are at your school, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get into any of them. Apply to all the schools you would attend and pray that you’ll get into one.

I agree with eating food.

Apply at places where you genuinely want to attend, not just somewhere that a lot of your peers attend.

And Princeton generally compares its applicants to the entire applicant pool, not just applicants from a given school. So I’m not sure if you’d even have an advantage.
