I was recently accepted into the Altoona campus of PSU. Though I am proud that I got into my first choice Eberly College of Science, I still wanted to go to UP badly. I am a member of my school's drumline, and was really looking forward to marching with the Blue Band. I don't see how that's going to happen during my freshman and sophomore years since I'll be at a totally different campus. Should I ask them to reconsider me? Would it seem like an ungrateful act? If I tell them to change my major, can I be re-admitted into Eberly? Someone please help me!!!!

P.S. I have a 3.8 UW GPA, 1570 superscored SAT, great EC's, minority status (black male), PA residency, and a hook (First generation).

Its worth a shot if you call and ask them to reconsider you for undecided as well as summer if you did not check it off on your application. Then you can transfer into Eberly after your sophomore year as long as your GPA meets the minimum requirement for that school. You still will be able to take the same classes you would your first two years for your major. My stats are actually worse then you and I have not heard back. UW 3.62 GPA and a 22 ACT composite. I applied for meteorology though but applied on the first day the application became available knowing my stats would put me right at the cut off. Perhaps that is why I am still in the running as I have not been sent to my second choice campus yet and did check off that I was willing to do the summer session.
