<p>I recently found out I have been accepted as a transfer student to Emory University and NYU. I am not sure which to attend. So here are all the details!</p>
<p>I am 20 and in my first semester of junior year, I would start at the new university in spring 2015.</p>
<p>I am going to be a Russian Studies major. My focus will be on language. I would also like to minor in philosophy if it is possible.</p>
<p>I live in GA so Emory may end up being cheaper. I have a scholarship that covers 80% of my tuition, but since Emory is private I am not sure if I will get any of the money (it is a GA specific scholarship called HOPE). I found out yesterday so I haven't had the chance to figure that part out yet. My dad was in the coast guard so I will have 2 years of school paid for either way, but I plan to go to grad school, and I would like to hold off on using it as long as I can.</p>
<p>I know that as far as cities go I much prefer NYC to ATL.</p>
<p>Honestly, I do not know what the right choice is. I think I would enjoy NYU more, but I feel like emory may be a better school. It has a higher national ranking #21 compared to NYU which is #32.</p>
<p>Also, I am in a serious long term relationship and my boyfriend wants to move to ATL for his career (this has always been his plan). I do not want to let this influence me too much, but to be honest it does a bit. He would move to New York if I did, but would rather not. Whatever ends up happening I won't force him to move. I will also do my best not to let this cloud my decision. I just think it is important to mention in this post. </p>
<p>Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.</p>
