<p>UCD was the stronger UC due to its proximity to Sactown. Prior to the bio boom, Davis was the main undergrad related UC you went to for understanding more specifics about California law, econ, political and social issues if wanted entry level into those circles of power. </p>
<p>UCB does have the Law and Society degree program which is fantastic but not necessarily the best for pre-law schools. Philosophy with a couple of those and rhetoric classes are the best for pre law school at Cal with proper GE’s. </p>
<p>Hastings in SF is awesome when you get there but the better undergrad law schools in inner bay area would be Santa Clara, USF, Goldengate, and JFK plus a few smaller ones.</p>
<p>So you can see it varies from year to year as UCLA’s would also. Both are ~ in the decent range, typically, good, probably top public feeders, but not anywhere near the Ivies, specifically Harvard feeding its own L school. And I"m sure this is for the classes in question, with more being accepted a year + after graduation.</p>
