I applied to 5 CUNYs (Baruch, Hunter, Brooklyn, Queens, and Queensborough) a while ago back in December. So far, I haven't heard from ANY of them and it's really starting to worry me especially since it's almost the end of March and many people have already gotten a reply back. I wasn't as worried before but I just heard from a friend who sent her applications and fee waivers later than I did, has gotten word back from Baruch and Hunter.

I was at least expecting a seat from Queensborough since it's a community college... I'm an average student with average grades; 88.8% overall (3.3 weighted) with 10 periods everyday full of APs and electives. I also have a pretty good list of community service. I'm not dumb but I'm not a genius either which is why I thought CUNY was the way to go for me. It's also best for me financially and close to home.

I am worried that it's now too late for me to do anything or if (God forbid) too late to correct anything that has not been successfully submitted earlier. I'm not sure if it's my fee waiver that was the problem or transcripts (via Naviance) I have absolutely no idea what I should do next and my parents are not helping all all (typical Asian family sigh) Is my future to go to college now doomed?

Am I the only one still waiting for a reply from these schools or am I just over thinking the fact that I have the absolutely worst luck ever :(

I applied to the CUNYs in October and heard back in February. However, my friend applied before me and just heard back this week… it’s kind of unpredictable. I’m pretty sure you’ll be okay but if you’re really concerned, you can call CUNY and ask.

You’re not the only one. I am still waiting to hearing from them. And the thing is that my CUNY personal page says that admission decision has been already made

I applied in October, but didn’t giev in transcript and scores until december and I heard from them this month. I still haven’t heard from Brooklyn though…it’s pretty random, don’t worry! If anything, you can email the admissions office for each school and ask if they received your stuff. That’s what I did when I started getting antsy.

We haven’t heard back either. We called CUNY and the automated system says the application is complete and we’ll receive a decision soon. I find the automated system much more useful than the website. The number is 212-997-CUNY (2869). We found out something was indeed missing by calling and the website said nothing about this. They might just be taking extra long to get back to ppl.

I STILL haven’t heard anything, and it’s getting ridiculous. If I don’t hear anything by the middle of April, I’m going to have to commit somewhere else.

I heard back by email from all the schools at different times, the latest being Hunter on March 17th when I applied in December. If you’re using an email that has some sort of quarantine filter on it, make sure you check it to make sure the email hasn’t gotten lost in there! That’s what happened to me. Check your junk folder, etc.
