I took the ACT three ago as a junior. I sent my score of a 33 to Michigan and several other schools. However, I haven't yet heard back from Michigan. I've heard from all the other schools I sent my scores to--they've all sent me info about them, the typical "come to our college" stuff. So basically I'm worried about applying there--will it mean instant rejection? Are they not interested? Is this typical of Michigan? Why wouldn't they want me?

You took the ACT three years ago as a junior? Wouldn’t that make you a sophomore in college now? I’m confused. But no, not hearing from a college does not necessarily mean they don’t want you. I rarely got anything from Michigan, but I was still accepted. Some schools just tend to send out more advertisement stuff than others. Because conversely, just because you get a lot from a particular college does not necessarily mean you’ll get in.

OMG, I’m sorry, collegehappy. I meant three months ago! lol

Oh ok. Haha. Anyways, my answer is still the same. You really can’t read that much into which colleges are sending your mail telling you to come to their school. Just focus on your application and writing excellent essays.

You’re Hermione, you are the top witch of your graduating class, don’t worry, your owl will be flooded with offers to bring back to you…

Seriously though, those letters you’re talking about mean absolutely nothing, and you should apply and you’ll have a shot if your academic profile is good. (Which it must be, because you’re Hermione.)

^LOL

i wouldn’t worry about it. just apply and be satisfied with going to a great college. After all, the individuals make the college not vice versa

haha…thanks, guys!
