Should I cancel my SAT score?

I recently took the SAT in November and received my score of 1460 (710 R&W, 750 M) just one week prior to taking the December SAT.

During the most recent test I struggled with some of the reading passages and a few of the math questions. I wasn’t feeling my best, an overall, I left the test feeling infinitely worse than I did the previous month.

My dilemna:

If I don’t cancel the test I risk getting a worse score (1250-1450) and then will be forced to submit it to my dream college, which could make me a less than ideal candidate.

The policy at the school is that all scores must be submitted (they claim that admissions only care about the higher score, but if this were completely true why would they ask for all of the scores in the first place)?

I am not familiar with how the scaling/curving system works with the SAT but I don’t see how I could possibly get higher than a 1480 with the test I just took, but who knows.

Thanks for reading this wall of text, I appreciate it along with any feedback. Feel free to ask for clarifications of any kind (I might have left something out).

A lesser score won’t be counted against you. You’re over-analyzing this
