Hi all,
I took the SAT Math 2 subject test yesterday and I did quite poorly, probably 39/50. I took math 2 in May and got a 780 and I only took it again because I was hoping to get an 800 since I was already so close. I want to apply to Carnegie Mellon and they ask for all scores. Should I cancel my score knowing I probably got around a <750? Does it make a big difference to get a 780 vs 800 because I’m wondering if I should retake it in August. Thanks!
Many people think they did poorly and then are surprised with a better score. Did you leave a lot of questions blank or resort to random bubbling if you were running out of time? Otherwise, how is it possible to predict your score?
It may be that this test was tougher than the norm and the curve will work in your favor.
Also, it wasn’t clear to me that the “submit all scores” policy applies to the subject tests as well as the the regular SAT/ACT. Read the first few sentences and if you’re in doubt, you might want to put a call in tomorrow to clarify.
