I don’t like chemistry, math, and heck I am not exactly head over heels over cellular biology. All the same, I feel so drawn to the study of animals, physiology, and such… Kinda torn as to what too do… Could it be my past teachers? Should I go for a major in a non-STEM subject? Or should I just bite the bullet and go for it?
How about zoology? You might also find that you like classes at the college level which you did not like in high school. And vice versa.
What do you want as a future career?
You haven’t started college yet, you are interested in a field with a lot of possible paths you are stressing about the exact major. You want to be a zookeeper? possible majors include biology, ecology, evolutionary biology, zoology- really, any life science major.
- Worry about getting in to a good university (you want a university that will have a good range of life science options).
- When you get to college take classes in those areas.
- Major in *whichever one(s) you like best*.
…and use your breaks to get internships/summer jobs in zoo/zoo type settings.
