Should I choose Stony Brook

I'm kinda in a dilemma over choosing between at deciding on where to- Stony Brook vs Binghamton. I know both schools are great schools in the SUNY system. I plan on majoring in Biology and hope to later apply to dental school. I want to which one would better prepare me for dental school. Whereever I go i know I will do my best but I want to know where i would have better opportunities to prepare myself. Such things include professors, are there research opportunities, shadowing/volunteering opportunities and if they have a predental club/society. Whereever i go i want to maintain atleast 3.5-3.6 gpa. Which school would have committed teachers and students who are willing to help me get into dental school???

also explain to me dorming. is it like based on interests or just random dorming?
also this is just a unrelated question but what happens on the first day of college at Stony Brook and how does moving in work.

Although my final decision was between Stony Brook and a private institution, I also had Binghamton as an option.

In my opinion, if you are keen on pursuing the biological sciences and eventually a medical profession, choose Stony Brook. The assets available, including a world-class research faculty, major regional hospital and dental school are unparalleled in the SUNY system.

As for dormitory living, you will fill out a short questionnaire at some point in the future. You will be housed with someone within your undergraduate college (science & society etc.) who has similar interests/personality. As a freshman, you will arrive the weekend prior to the first day of classes to take part in opening weekend activities (orientation and welcome weekend). You will move in days before the general University student body.

Before you make your final decision, be sure to visit both schools.
