Should I complete all the physics courses before transferring?

Hello.

I am currently a GCC student and I am going to apply for transfer this fall with the major of aerospace engineering. My GPA is 3.3 - 3.4. At the end of spring semester I will have all my transfer required courses completed. But, this the question. I can complete the physics courses. In case, I already completed 1 physics courses. In our college only one professor is teaching upper physics courses and he is not good. So, if i take other 2 courses with him I will end up getting C and it will really drop my GPA. I want to know if I don’t do physics courses before transfer will Cal Poly Pomona still accept me? I will complete all other courses including one engineering class.

I got provisionally admitted to CPP as a transfer student and I have not done any of the Physics courses. I did complete everything else with a 3.7 GPA. You can always go to a different community college and take the Physics courses with a good professor if you want. Just make sure that those Physics courses transfer. Up to you, but if you apply to other universities, they will probably want those physics courses done. I applied to CP SLO, SDSU, and CSU Long beach and they denied me.

Oh man… Idk about that bro. If I were an admissions counselor, and you had room on your schedule to enroll in the 2 other remaining physics classes but didn’t … I would deny you. However, that may not be the case with Cal poly but I know for sure, UC’s like SD, Cal, LA have too many good applicants to accept someone who did what I stated above.

YES. Try to finish all your math and physics courses first before transferring. It makes you a stronger candidate.
