Should I do this to help my chances off the waitlist?

I was waitlisted to my first choice: Duke University. I'm trying my best to increase my chances of the waitlist if spots open up and so I'm wondering if I should do this.

My Uncle was a Yale professor for somewhere around 25 years, he currently teaches at Arizona. He knows me really well, as does his wife. I was thinking about asking him to write me a one page rec letter, because I think he has the potential to write a great letter, but I'm wondering if because he is my uncle it may just be somewhat of a waste. I want to send in one or two more rec letters since I received a really great one from a teacher for gtown and a scholarship competition (where I was able to see what he wrote and kick myself for not having him send the rec to all the schools). I just don't want to over do it too much to detract from anything.

So should I have my uncle do it?

Thanks!

I dont think you should.

After all, its family....and I dont think they would count that.
