I will be a senior next year and plan to major in science. I hope to apply and get admitted into an Ivy League school. I am deciding on whether to take two science classes next year.
My schedule with the two classes would be:
AP English Lit
AP Calculus AB/BC (undecided)
AP Bio
Physics Honors (we do not AP Physics)
Phys Ed
Intermediate Spanish I Honors (replacement for AP Spanish)
AP Computer Science A
Band

If I had to take one class, it would definitely be physics since I have not taken it yet (Honors Bio freshman year). Without a second class, I would have lunch instead. So, what is your guys' take on my dilemma? Thanks.

Doubling in science happens often, I’m doing it now (AP Bio & Honors Chem) as a Sophomore. A lot of people are doubling AP Chem & Honors Physics as a Junior.

WHAT!!! You have to drop lunch?? That’s horrible!!! At my school, we drop study hall. Hahaha

From an academic standpoint, doing AP Bio and Physics H can be done. If you had to choose only one definitely take AP Bio over physics since you’re aiming for Ivy League schools. Throw as many AP’s on your transcript as possible. There’ll be 25,000 just like you.

I’m taking AP Physics C and AP Bio. It’s not horrible but it does kinda suck because of the weekly lab reports and constant tests and stuff. Not to mention my teacher isn’t actually teaching me anything in Physics so that’s not going too well. If you have good teachers and really like science I’d say go for it.
