hey,
i'm currently enrolled in math 3b, phy sci 5, chem 20b, and ls 1. its still my first year. i'm thinking about dropping chem 20b bc i dont know if i can handle it. i'm also thinking about committing about 20 hours a week to extracurricular things. any ideas on what i should do?

oh i'm in 20b too!!

but it seems kind of easy. you looked at the syllabus right? i mean the reviews on bruinwalk are scary, but the material is only that stuff.

i would wait a few weeks before dropping.

who's your ta?

19 units + 20 hours of ECs ?!

you are nuts

i would drop ls 1 instead and continue with the chem series

i agree with misterr. if you drop a class at all, it should be ls1 primarily b/c you can take that class anytime...

i'm in discussion 1L. i dont know the name of my ta.

the problem is i need 14 units to meet the ecp check and currently i'm enrolled in 18. so i can only drop chem or math since those are the only 4 unit classes, and i dont want to drop math.

:/

why are you taking 20b though? shouldn't it be 14b since you're in 3c?

i was on the physical science route but then at the end of last quarter i decided i was gonna major in the life sciences. the ppl in charge would not let me drop down to the 14 series this quarter since i have already completed 20a so i have to finish the 20/30 chem series. but the math department let me drop down to 3b. i took 31a last quarter.

Chem 20B shouldn't take you a lot of time (in terms of going to class), but dropping LS1 is the best choice now.

yea 20b.. boelter, ou going to class?

yes i would HIGHLY recommend dropping LS1 (as someone said). There is a ton of (useless) memorization and a lot of reading.
