Should I drop APUSH?

I haven’t started apush yet, but I believe I’d be under too much stress to be in it.
If I didn’t take apush I’d replace it most likely with a class on world war 2, and one on the vitenam war (half semester classes)
Should I just tell my gc the day I get my class schedule, that I don’t think I can handle the stress of it?
(Planned current schedule is
Honors physics
Honors organic chem/honors microbiology
(Honors) advance english 12
Sociology / creative writing
Choir
(?)AP U.S. history
Pre calc

Would dropping apush hurt my addmissons chances at all? (Considering my school only has a maximum of 3 APs you can take senior year, so it’s not very competive)

Dropping apush is significant but not a game-changer. It’s much better to have a good gpa than have one AP course.

Talk to the GC and be honest with them and yourself. They may recommend that you go to the class for a day or two before you make a final decision

Good luck!

You can do APUSH. You can do 7 APs if you want but it all depends on you.

Maybe rethink your study schedule? Make a study group? APUSH is a class that if you read and study enough, you will be able to get a straight 100 in the class.

I took APUSH in my junior year (2014-2015- the year of the new test) and I was extremely terrified because I heard that the teacher I was having was extremely harsh.

In the first marking period, I barely made it out with an A- (because she gave out pop quizzes and she curved my grade up to an A-)

In the second and third marking periods, I ended up with A’s

In the fourth marking period, I got an A+

***Ask yourself this: Are you willing to apply the information that you learn in APUSH? The class and exam are all about using the information you learn from your notes and applying it to a certain situation.

If you are still enrolled in APUSH, I recommend you use apushreview.com to help you study every topic.

Hope this helps and good luck with senior year!
