Should I drop it?

Having gotten B's in precal both semesters of my junior year, I signed up for precal at a community college this summer in hopes of getting an A to show that I did something with my summer and maybe raise my gpa if my district allows it.

BUT after attending the first class today, I realized that getting an A is gonna be really difficult because I need to dedicate hours and hours for hw per day and I also have night classes.

So if I were to stick with the math class and ended up getting a B, would that just be a waste of 5 weeks (since that's the grade I got in school) or would that sort of benefit me when it comes to putting it on college apps (with colleges seeing that I didn't waste my summer and such, though I only got a B again)?

I would drop it, unless you can do it independent of your school, so that way you can take it for kicks, and it won't appear on your record.

I agree. However, for colleges that ask what you did over the summer, I think it would be advisable to tell them.

And again, you never know - the first day doesn't tell you that much.
