Should I drop Physics C Mechanics next semester?

I have AP Physics: C Mechanics for a whole year. I study, study, and then study some more, but I still get 50’s on the tests. I am at a C right now. Hopefully I can get a B by the end of the semester.

Anyway my senior schedule looks like this:

English 12
AP Calculus BC
AP micro/ macro Econ
AP Chem
AP Biology
AP Physics C
AP Stats (self-study)

I am doing well in all my classes except Physics C Mechanics. I don’t have the intention of becoming an engineer, I am more of chemistry-biology-medical oriented student. Physics C is pretty much learning the concepts first semester, then we review and do about 20 practice AP tests second semester. I want to take the Physics B test, so I was thinking I could just learn the mechanics concepts in first semester, and learn the Electricity and Magnetism and Nuclear Physics during second semester in regular physics. I will buy the two best prep books. I will get 8 credit hours for Physics B as opposed to 4 in Phys C.

So does it sound like a good idea?

Physics B covers completely different material than Physics C…
Physics C covers more advanced concepts of Physics, mostly for people who plan on majoring in a physics related field.
Physics B is meant to be like a terminal, two semester physics sequence in order to get science credit.

that is what i want. But I don’t think that the two are completely different. so far, my class has learned motion in two dimensions, force, kinematics, newton’s laws, and vectors. Is the other stuff really that hard to learn? is EM hard?
