Should I drop this class?

Hi, I just have a brief question. For second semester, I want to drop from AP Physics B to AP Statistics.

I got an A in Physics this semester. The reason why I want to drop it is because the class is a total joke (just today, we did a worksheet that took 30 minutes to do for 2 hours).

Should I drop that class, or should I stay with what classes I have right now? Would the Adcoms look down upon that?

ap physics is an amazingly hard course and if it offers an easy a you should stick with it.

First, AP Physics B (without calculus) is an amazingly easy course.

With that being said, AP Statistics is not particularly rigorous either (I think of it as watered down calculus except they don’t tell you that you are utilizing calculus concepts). I would stick with physics; I doubt that you would feel very intellectually stimulated in AP Statistics.

to large t-rex: actually, it’s not an easy A. despite the fact that teacher does not teach the class, we are expected to take tests with previously administered AP and higher level IB test questions for our chapter tests and get graded on the traditional grading scale (not the AP grading scale). What annoys me is that I have to self study and waste five hours of doing nothing every week.

CrookedI: yeah, you are right. I took the ap stats midterm as an assessment. didnt take the class, got an A on it. Not very stimulating. but at least we don’t spend 2 hours on a worksheet. it’s ridiculous…I don’t know.

If I had a choice, I’d take neither classes, seeing that I can just self study for both and it would save me time for bio (the class I’m really struggling to maintain a borderline A), but Adcoms wouldnt really like it…

Well, I’m just rambling now. thanks guys for the suggestions. I dont know. i might just stick with what I have now.
