<p>I was accepted to Cal and now I am failing Physics: Optics and Modern Physics that Cal required me to pass on the conditions of admission.
I am doing fine with other courses that I am currently taking..(probably two A and a B)
I have completed IGETC and have 73 UC transferrable units so far.
I can pass the course if I get 98%(yea 98 percent) on final exam...98% is possible but very unlikely to happen.
I have talked to the professor but he is very strict with grading policy.
He said he can drop me with W by this week.
I emailed Cal about this yesterday and still waiting for response.
W is better than D..right?
If I don't get any response from Cal by tomorrow, should I drop the course with W? or should I risk getting a D for a possible C?</p>

<p>if you cant get in contact with the counselor that was assigned to you (which i assume is the person you emailed) then i suggest you called the general admissions office and just ask the person that answers the phone.</p>
<p>I called the counseler who was assigned to me but she wanted me to email her with all the datails.</p>
<p>well, i assume u need a responce asap, so if she doesnt email you back, then call the general admissions office.</p>
<p>If it's a REQIURED class, most likely they will withdraw. From personal experience as I am dealing with Cal right now as well, they will admit you to Spring but not Fall.</p>
