EC:

800 Hours of community service at my local homeless shelter

Might as well apply… What’s the worse that could happen? They say no? I definitely would apply if I were you.

Better than my stats.

I would go ahead. As long as you don’t mind the $90 application fee.

While your # of APs or GPA might seem inadequate compared to some of the other threads, know that it’s much more important relative to your school. If you feel you are generally in the top 5% of your class, I would go ahead and apply. You obviously have a very strong dedication to community service and that will only strengthen your application.

Your numbers are fine! Better than mine were and I got in. Definitely apply and Good Luck!

ctruon1, though I don’t comment on individual people’s chances, it really doesn’t tell you much when other people say “Well, I got in, and my stats were lower”. That would only have predictive value if you were similar to those people in all material ways. E.g., some of the people who were admitted despite similar or lower stats may be URMs, and/or first-generation applicants, and /or applicants from disadvantaged households. Or, they may be nationally-competitive athletes or artists, or holders of patents, etc. Those are real hooks, and as such, they help a student’s chances even if their stats aren’t that great. Without that information to compare your own situation to, simply comparing stats tells you essentially nothing about your chances. Good luck.

good luck (:

Lol, i tried to put “no” but CC said it was too short. So here it is… no. Unless you feel like wasting 90 dollars or fall under one of the categories that zenkoan said.

^ dang.
10char.

^The freshman trembles in fear about his own chances, since he hasn’t even taken 5 AP classes yet.
