Hi so guys UPenn has always been my dream school, but after seeing my test score today I am really discouraged from even applying ED. I got 2140 which was even after super score after getting 2070 on my first SAT in May. I have written my essays already and my English teacher who proofread it said it was very good but should I even bother applying? I mean I am an East Asian and I know people from the same ethnicity all get like 2250 plus. My extracurricular activities are really average for a competitive school like Penn and plus I’m also an international applicant with no hooks. I mean has anyone like me even gotten in before?
I mean you probably won’t get in, but unless you were thinking of another school you would ED at, why wouldn’t you go for it?
Cuz the only school I actually want to go is Penn

it’s not “you pbl wont get in”, since Penn is a reach for everybody. I mean why not give it a shot?
frankly there are dozens of applicants got in with 2200- on SAT reasoning test each year…but as you mentioned, ec is also a significant factor
