Should I even apply?

Not sure I even have a shot. I am transferring to a bigger school and would love to get into Stern, but am realistic and know how hard it is to get in.

I'd say go for it. If it's what you really want. You'll only be out the app fee if it doesn't work. I'd say you have a good shot!

Yea I figure if I don't apply I'll always regret it and wonder, but if I do apply and get rejected at least I'll know for sure I didn't have a shot. But yea I'll definitely apply because I'd rather go to NYU than any other school in the country really.

NormalGuy, I'm not sure what your career goals are after graduating, but I would say that you might have a chance of getting into CAS (College of Arts and Sciences), where you could always major in Economics (as a post-grad you could land jobs in Finance with an Econ degree). To be honest, Stern might be a bit ambitious to get into... but I don't necessarily think it matters whether you graduate from Stern or CAS at the end of your four years. I'm sure you already know this, but just try to boost your GPA, extracurriculars and recommendations as much as possible until you apply to NYU.

CAS might be a better bet, but go for what you really want.
