really? i hope i can improve my sat enough to give me an edge

At my kid’s HS … from Naviance …

4 out of about 12 candidates with SAT between 1700 and 1800 were accepted (none below 1700) … not bad

5 out of about 50 candiates with SATs 1800 or below were accepted … and two of those look like special cases … so not very good chance here

is the top one nyu and bottom bc?

yes … sorry about that

4 out of about 12 NYU candidates with SAT between 1700 and 1800 were accepted (none below 1700) … not bad

5 out of about 50 BC candidates with SATs 1800 or below were accepted … and two of those look like special cases … so not very good chance here

alright that makes more sense. at my school, the average SAT for accepted to BC was like 2000 and NYU was about 2100 =

I like the naviance scatterplits because it shows the range of scores schools seem to accept … some have pretty tight ranges … others seem to accept folks across a broader range of scores … this is something looking at averages will not show!

Yeah I agree with you there, but not enough people from my school have applied to NYU or BC for me to get some good numbers.

bumping is fun…

i got my SAT up to 1910, does that help at all? Also, Im retaking the SAT again in December for the last time
