<p>Don’t get hung up on getting into Honors engineering. It will be much more meaningful to have internship experience on your resume. (DD was an engineer turned econ major. I was disappointed when she opted to not do econ honors program, which required thesis. In retrospect her job at the IT helpdesk was a much better use of time and effort. That is what helped her land the first job.) </p>

Highly recommend that Caroline16 become involved with Women in Transportation <a href=“https://www.wtsinternational.org/”>https://www.wtsinternational.org/&lt;/a&gt; It’s a great organization - she may be able to find a mentor by getting involved with a local chapter.</p>
