Should I Even Bother Trying as a Sophomore?

I'm a sophomore Asian at a mediocre prep school. I'm average... and here are my scores as of 1st semester and 9th grade...

I had a 4.0 in 9th grade, but here were my sucky classes:
Regular 9th grade English
Honors Geometry
Honors Biology
Regular French II
Regular Ancient and World History
Health Education (mandatory)
Art and Design (mandatory prep class for other arts)

And now, I'm a stupid sophomore and here are my classes:
[btw, a goal is 1/2 a semester and they count 20% of our year grade]
Regular Mandarin II [A as of 1st semester]
Honors Sophomore American Literature [B first goal, but A second goal]
Honors Algebra II [B first goal, but A second goal]
Honors Chemistry [A as of 1st semester]
AP European History [A as of 1st semester]
Speech (mandatory) [A first goal, but B second goal]
Honors French III [A as of 1st semester]

I suck at sports, and we have to do 2 mandatory sports a year (I'm doing JV golf and bowling) and I am not a big community service person. I've played piano for 10 years but I've quit beginning 9th grade because I board and it's a TINY boarding program (seriously - 3 people in total) and the sports and homework took over my life.

You see, I am an average kid and I seriously don't know why my parents are sending me to this mediocre school. Tell me if I should try harder or if I should just give up. If you need any extra info, tell me.

try harder...you have two more years...make it happen..but have fun..i wish I'd started preparing for college that early lol...luckily my grades and stuff didn't slip

i recomend looking into other options for college. harvard is near impossible to get into. that doesn't mean don't apply, just don't set you heart on it!

try harder, don't look back 5 years from now and say that "I wish I had tried harder."

you have good classes trust me, and your not average. you are a smart kid not doubt yourself.

cheers

Why do you have to go to Harvard. Why not chk out small, private LACs and end up getting a better education than you'd ever receive in Cambridge.

I see that someone is new to the art of self-deprecation... 6 honors classes and an AP, and that's by sophomore year!
Anyways, brush up on your ECs if you wanna get in.

Thanks guys
What are good EC's? >.>; My school believes in "time management" so they give us average of 4hours of homework a day not counting sports (which take up another 4 hours) which means I have no time to play piano (hah...) and no time to do anything else.
I really want to transfer for Junior year but it's too late to apply to anything (unless I force my teachers to write recommendations FAST)
