Hello, I'm a junior in high school who is currently stressed out. I am not like any of the typical over-achieving people that tend to post on here a lot.

Freshman Year:
Weighted 4.0 both semesters, unweighted 4.0 both semesters. No Honors/AP classes. Only 2 honors classes offered by my school freshman year: Honors Geometry (wasn't eligble to take it because I had not taken Algebra 1 yet) and Honors English (too dumb to realize how beneficial it could've been to take this class). I played on my school's freshman baseball team. I took Speech 1 (A), Art 1(A), Health (A), Gym (A), English 9 (A), Spanish 1 (A), American History (A), Algebra 1 (A), and Physical Science (A). Nothing special at all.

Sophomore Year:
Weighted 4.167 both semesters, unweighted 4.0 both semesters. I took Geometry (A), English 10 (A), Honors Algebra 2 (A weighted to a "super A"), Spanish 2 (A), Academic Biology (A), and World Studies (A). Again, only 2 AP/Honors classes offered for sophomores at my school: I took one of the two. I particpated in FBLA/Business Club and National Honor Society. I played on my school's JV baseball team. My class rank is based off of both my sophomore and freshman years. I am ranked 10/340-360 (the number changes a lot, but either way). I also did 10 hours of community service which has no impact on anything, but might as well tell you guys. I took the PLAN test and I got a 23/32 which is a 25-29 on the real ACT, unfrotunately.

Junior Year:
Don't know any weighted/unweighted GPA's yet for either semester, but I will be recieving a 4.0 weighted and a 3.5 unweighted GPA (leaving me with a sense of extreme dissatisfaction, stress, and sadness) for the first quarter of the year. I am taking AP US History (C weighted to a B), Spanish 3 (A), ACP (Advanced College Placement: a system through IU- basically taking an IU college class) Chemistry (A), Honors Pre-Calculus (A weighted to a "super A"), AP Stats (B weighted to an A), English 11 (A). Not going to count up all of the Honors/AP classes offered for juniors, but I am raking thr majority of them. I participate in National Honor Society, FBLA/Business Club, Key Club, Math Club (Math Buddies through Math Club-go to local elementary school after school to work on Math homework with 5th graders), and I participate in baseball still, but I am unsure of whether or not I'll be on JV or Varsity. I just took the PSAT last Wednesday but won't know scores until December. I am taking the ACT this Saturday, then taking a class in December, then taking the ACT again the Saturday right after the class (Dec. 13). If needed, I'm going to take it again in the spring. Thankfully, after dealing with the vocabulary (fill in the sentences) on the PSAT and knowing that that's not on the ACT, I'm going in to the test with a lot of confidence. Anything below a 30 is unexceptable. I will probably end up taking the SAT in the spring and summer. Obviously don't know my AP scores yet.

I live in OH and I'm looking to get as many scholarships as possible and I am unsure of whether or not my family is applying for financial aid (probably, though).

I came up with a rather large list of colleges that I thought I would feel comfortable going to and based really only on that:
Johns Hopkins
Carnegie Mellon
Emory
Wake Forest
University of Rochester
Georgia Tech
Case Western
Boston University
Northeastern University
Rensselaer
Penn State-University Park
University of Miami
George Washington University
OSU-Columbus
Syracuse University

These are all pretty prestigious schools and my progress in junior year so far has me questioning whether or not I should even try for these kinds of colleges. All I worry about is my unsatisfying grades and whether or not I am good enough.

So, should I bother trying for these schools?
