I took the ACT last spring and got a great score (29---yay!), and all of my colleges are either test-optional or willing to consider the ACT alone. The whole business makes me wonder if I even need to take the SAT. Is there some sort of advantage that the SAT confers on the applicant? It's registration crunch time and I really need to know.

It wouldn’t hurt, would it?

Yeah some people (though few) actually do really well on the SAT in comparison to ACT.

Is there reason to think that you’ll do much better on the SAT than the ACT?

If not, and if you are happy with your ACT score, then you don’t need to take the SAT.

Don’t have to, although it couldn’t hurt because if you do better you could be eligible for better scholarships from your schools! Congrats!

you should try once for SAT also. May be this time you do better…

Do you have to send in all your SAT scores, every time you take it?
