Should I exactly identify the grammatical error on sat grammar section?

so basically,I don't know what's the exact grammatical error in a sentence, but I just go like this is the correct choice,or when I read a sentence I go like this must be the error.I got 36 raw score on my first official exam, with 590 (got an 8 on the essay). Technically if I took a 12 on the essay my writing section score would have been 660

So the question is,do I practice wrongly? For instance should I go like: oh it's a sentence modifier or comma splice .I tried studying the grammatical rules but they immediately escape my brain :o

no, I went from a 620 on the writing section (with a 10, so it was essentially the same raw score) to a perfect writing score (all MC correct and a 12 essay) in only three weeks. You do not need to know the exact grammar rules. Just read this [Top 10 Grammar Rules to Beat the SAT | Grockit SAT ACT Test Prep](<a href=“Kaplan Test Prep”>Kaplan Test Prep)
, and, practice, practice, and practice some more, and eventually, the errors become very evident and you wonder how you ever missed them in the first place.
