Should i feel confident transferring to the more competitive UC Schools

Hi, I am a California Community College student and want to know if i have a solid chance to get into the more competitive UC schools (Berkeley LA, SD ect). I will have had two years in community college and i plan to major in history. My gpa started out at 3.43 but overall it will be in the 3.7 range (3.72 or 3.78 hopefully). What do you guys think my chances are? I am not in the honor program and I'm a full time student (18 units semester in community college).

I think you have a good chance. You should look up stats on the average transfer GPA for those schools. UCLA has a huge history department and I believe the average transfer GPA is around 3.7. It would help if you have some ECs or work experience although GPA is the most important.

Thanks for the quick response harry. I know all the UC schools are pretty good and while UCLA would be my first choice, I would be happy with some of the less competitive ones as well

Your GPA is solid for History at those three schools. IGETC and all Pre-Reqs too? If so I’d place you as a strong shot at LA and UCB, and almost a lock for SD.
