I received a 2 by phone call last week for my AP Literature and Comp. exam and was shocked! I expected a 5 or a 4 with a 3 at the very minimum but was surprised to hear I got a 2!! While there were only 8 kids in our class, I know 2 of the 8 received a 5 and a 4 and i felt confident I did just as well, if not better. So my question is should i go for the rescore???I'm going to wait for the actual paper to come in the mail just to make sure they didn't put it into the phone service wrong and if it is still wrong I might pay the $25 dollars. I felt like I could've got a 2 based soley on the multiple choice OR the essays but not both combined...so maybe they lost part of my exam, scored it wrong, or didn't combine the scores??? Im just sick to my stomach cuz i didn't think i possibly did that bad.

yeah I would say go for a rescore, because I think I did badly and I got a 3, so if you think you did well and got a 2, soemthing seems a bit funny about that. Good luck!

thanks for the input!! the first poem essay I had trouble with but I felt confident that my 3rd essay had a strong enough pull to carry its weight

I left the synthesis as the last essay so I was like rushing through it with 15 mins left lol…but how did you think you did on the multiple choice part??

i think average, as much as your not supposed to “discuss” how you did after the exam when comparing it to my friends who got the 4s and 5s my answers were mostly the same I expected to get anywhere from 20 min right to 35ish as a max that was my prediction but my essays id say were like 5 / 6 / 7 or something around that

I got a 3. I always did really well on the practice exams, but in the real test the MCQs seemed kinda hard to me and I didn’t have enough time for the third essay…Maybe it was because I was nervous. Still, I was expecting at least a 4.I’m thinking of requesting a rescore.

Anyway, @tankredsox ypu should probably try requesting a rescore. Hope you get some good news ;)

I got a 2 on my AP Bio exam. I’m shocked. My class was difficult, but it taught me everything that I needed to know. I also passed the class with a B+. The rest of my AP exams were 5’s. Should I rescore? And if so, how do I go about doing it?

With the science-based tests they grade based on a rubric and therefore it is fairly objective. You could pay for a rescore but there is little chance of a different score.

If you pay for a rescore it will only rescore your multiple choice, free-response questions are not looked at again.
