You would need to get a supplementary calculator for the ACT, but overall, yes.
I think a ti-84 is fine, especially for standardized tests where u can’t use an ti-89. You want to br used to your calculator before a test.

You can use it on SAT II Math Level II. I don’t recall on the SAT. Look also at the (newer) N-SPIRE CAS calculators. They are a few bucks more. It is always best to get the most features early on in your calculator career. If you get more features later, you are less likely to fully exploit them. You will just use the same features you always used until backed into a corner. Strike while it is all brand-new, and become a master of all of the features!
