Should I give up?

<p>I need to know if I should give up on my chance of being accepted to Yale. Is my goal unrealistic? I don't want to invest so much of my time and energy into this, if I have a next-to-nothing chance.
This is my concern: My GPA.
Freshman yr - 3.4 UW, 2 Honors courses
Soph yr (this yr) - Probably a 3.7 UW, All H's
Jr yr- I will get a 4.0 UW since I have finally realized what I need to do to achieve my goals, I'll be taking 3 -4 AP's
Sr yr- Again, I will get a 4.0 and take 4 - 5 AP's</p>

<p>Considering my GPA's, if I have wonderful EC's & summer activities, great test scores, wonderful essays, and rec's, what is my chance? I just need to know if my chances are shot because of my slacking in freshman & some of soph years.</p>

<p>look, creating two separate threads will not help. I already have commented on your previous thread. There is absolutely no way we can predict your chances, this is yale, one of the most selective colleges in the world. As someone mentioned earlier, even if you did have straight A’s throughout your hs career, do you think that wouldve guaranteed you a spot?..relax, focus on your hs, pursue your extracurriculars, and apply when the time comes. The only way you have a 0% chance is if you dont apply.</p>
