honestlly, what are my chances ? Can I pretty much give up?

Hi! i am a 17 yr old girl who has applied to Yale as an undergraduate. I am really nervous that I might not get in! I am in the top 10% at my school academically, I am doing A-levels, predicted A*,AA, has done plenty of charity and community service for the elderly,i am Swedish and have lived in the uk 2 years, so guess I can be described as an "inernational student", achieved 25 in my overall ACT score ( I know its not good......), and worked hard on my personal essay..

What are my chances ? Any ideas?

btw: im doing economics, psycology and Religious studies with the predicted A* in the latter subject

What does giving up mean at this point? You have applied, right? now you just wait. I do hope you also applied to other schools as well.

It’s out of your hands so don’t stress about it. If you’re asking for chances, it’s probably unlikely with a 25 (you know this already), but no need to worry; all you can do now is wait for a decision!

Also, don’t be “so nervous”! With a <10% acceptance rate, anyone is setting themselves up for disappointment and there is ZERO shame in not getting into Yale.

10%? Probably ~5% this year and lower for internationals. It takes a small miracle for even the most highly qualified.
