Should I go for a political science major?

Hey everyone, I applied as a poli sci major at UCLA. Basically, I really want to do business economics, but my ECs don't really pertain to it.

I'm president of MUN at my school, interned for a congressman, started the young Republicans club, and am in Mock Trial. I do VERY well in the humanities. Yes, I'm very interested in politics but don't want to do anything related to it as a career.

Basically, my plan is to change into the biz econ major if I'm accepted.

Does this increase my chances of admission over applying as a business economics major? My UC GPA is 4.14 and SAT is 2050.

Thanks

Econ or PoliSci : UCLA doesn’t require your ECs to laser-beam match up with what you might study. Given that thinking, the choices you made as a 9th grader will be held against you possibly? What logic in that for UCLA?

What you state as your intended major btn Econ or PS (because you fear appearing incongruity with your ECs) is nothing to worry about. UCLA wants to know if you can succeed in college.
