I was admitted to BU for th e Spring 2006 semester, but all my forms say that there is no on-campus housing available for the Spring 2006 semester. This makes me a bit nervous in terms of meeting people. I really do not like being lonely.

Secondly, I've been researching sources on the people there and it says that a lot of the girls are a bit snobby and materialistic. Are these just a few people getting mad? I'm mainly going to BU for a more open-minded and culturally aware student body... and a lot of the sources have said that the girls are shallow and hard to meet. A lot of the things I read about BU sound perfect for me, I really dont want a campus, and I love being in the middle of a city. But I'm also going there to meet better people (I'm coming from a big ten midwestern school where, in my mind, the kids were a bit ignorant or they were all from the East Coast and had their own unwelcoming group.

Lastly, what's with BU being ranked as 60th on US News and World Report? The school I'm coming from is ranked 30th. Is this a bad decision? I'm not sure how much to trust US News and World .

Thank you to anyone who has time to respond
