Should I go to community college first?

Hey guys, I'm currently a high school senior but I slacked off in some classes so I ended up with a 2.6 GPA for the end of my Junior year. I'm a smart kid but I didn't take high school as seriously as I should have and now I regret it.

Well, anyway, I was wondering whether I should go to Community College first (I have enough college credits that I would be able to graduate community college a year after high school graduation) and then transfer to a public four year college for the last two years and save money?

Or should I apply to a four year school and enjoy the dorm life experience that people talk about?

Which do you guys think would be the better decision? I'm asking now because I don't know if I should cough about $200 on the SAT and applying to colleges only to change my mind later that I end up going to community college.

Do you have money to pay for college?

No, not really.
