I I am a sophomore in high school and I qualified to go to FBLA Nationals in Atlanta this year for an event called Life Smarts. At first when I qualified I was really excited to go, mostly because I thought it would look good on my college applications. But the cost to attend is ~1300 dollars (airfare, living costs) and I think I could better use that money doing to do something else like go to a camp or take some classes. I feel like if go to FBLA Nationals, I won’t really get anything out. My main two concerns are my college application and building up my skills and knowledge and experience. Should I go to nationals or should I not go and try to do something else? And could you guys also provide me with some suggestions to what I should do instead?
