Should I go to University of Pennsylvania or University of Michigan?

I live in Michigan near the campus of Ann Arbor. My intended major is Finance. I've heard that UPenn has a magnificent Finance program. Should I go to UMich and save the student loan money or should I go to UPenn?

Also, If I apply to UPenn ED but end up getting denied to Wharton's undergrad, will it be worth it?

You ask an impossible question. Penn is generally regarded as being the better school (except on the U Mich Forum on CC (smile)). This is true for Penn generally, and even more so for UMich.

However, given the difference between in-state tuition at Michigan, which is a truly excellent school and Penn, Michigan may well be the better point.

I suppose, if it were me, it would depend on what financial aid packages I received at each, and how much in loans I would have to take out.

Of course, the first step is to apply to both and get in!!! Unless you get into both schools, there is no choice to make.
