Should I include teacher recs?

I don't perceive any trouble in getting accepted at this school (due to the automatic admission policies), however I am going to try to get as much out of the Academic Excellence Scholarship program as possible (aiming for the Honors one). Would it be beneficial to include teacher recommendation letters, or are they unnecessary if the other things are really good (test scores, class rank, GPA, high school classes, etc)? The website says that teacher recs are optional, but are recommended for people that are trying to get admitted. The AES page doesn't say anything about teacher recs.

I would send the recs. It will set you apart from the crowd and show your commitment!!

If you apply for the Collegium V program, MAKE SURE TO SEND IT VERY EARLY!!! My friend’s rec letters didn’t get sent in for some reason, so he wasn’t able to join the CV. So make sure you get on top of that for honors, and good luck.
