should I leave my car??

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>I live about 40-50 min. away in Orange County. I've been told the parking permit is kind of expensive, and it's a pain to find parking. Plus, LA is extremely crowded with traffic.</p>

<p>So, what are you all doing? I'm thinking of leaving my car at home and buying a bike to get around campus and the surrounding city. Is there a decent bus system?</p>

<p>you don’t need a car, the bus system is decent and most of your activities will be in walking distance, most people i know don’t have a car around here…</p>

<p>There is a decent bus system and you can get around Westwood with a bike.</p>

<p>I personally love having a car. I love being able to go anywhere at a moment’s notice. It’s a luxury though so weigh in your options. If you dont think you will go out often, you probably dont need a car.</p>

<p>do you even have a choice? the parking system has been a lottery and gives preference if you have an off campus job as far as i’ve known the past year</p>

<p>So in other words you have to be really lucky to even get a chance to have a permit.</p>

<p>^ yes but you can potentially find off-campus parking…although it could be a lot more money.</p>
