Should I re-take classes just to raise my GPA? Possibly a .2 difference. Worth it??

So I have 3 semesters left of college!! After planning it out, I can take the minimum amount of classes (4 classes; 12 credits) per semester and graduate on time.

I've taken on course loads of 5-6 classes (15-18 credits) every semester so far and have managed, so far, a 3.85.

This semester has been fine, except ONE week where everything BAD just occurred -- yes, during midterm week of course! I was under MAJOR amounts of stress because of a work investigation where I was questioned so many times (due to a co-workers stupidity), and I also worked 45 hours that week because the co-worker was fired. I studied, but ended up not really getting enough sleep to process the info.

The midterms have affected my grades badly. I expect my overall GPA to drop down to a 3.55-3.65 (semester GPA: estimate 3.0-3.3) possibly.

Since I only need to take 4 classes for the next three semesters, and I usually take 5, should I try to re-take the classes and get a better grade to raise my GPA up? Or maybe over the summer?

*Note: We pay tuition on a class-by-class basis so this WOULD raise my tuition up by ~$700, but I'm not particularly that worried about cost as long as it is worth it.

Would it be worth it for maybe .2 points?

**Reason why I'm so obsessed with my GPA is because I go to a pretty mediocre school ranking-wise and feel that with my GPA I can stand out to applicants. Also, I feel as if getting a decent GPA in such a "easy" major (Advertising/PR/Marketing communications) would reflect me as a student badly.

My opinion? No.

^ why do you think it wouldn’t be worth it? Just trying to weigh my options as best as possible so all opinions are appreciated and encouraged

If you’re not going to a super-competitive law or medical school, your GPA won’t matter much. Also, if you don’t get solid A’s when you retake them, that’s not going to look too good.
